2018 Founding General Assembly of the International Science Council

The first General Assembly of the International Science Council to be created following the merger of the International Social Science Council (ISSC) and International Council for Science (ICSU) will take place on 3, 4 and 5 July 2018. The three-day event is hosted by the French Academy of Sciences and will be held at the at the Maison des Océans in Paris, France.

A draft programme is currently being developed, and more information will be added to this page in due course.

2 July (pm) General Assembly registration desk opens
3 July Members’ Fora
4 July General Assembly, including elections of the first Governing Board
Reception hosted by the Académie des Sciences
5 July Inauguration of the International Science Council and International Scientific Conference
Reception hosted by the ISC
6 July First meeting of the new Governing Board of ISC

Unless otherwise specified, the meeting will take place at the “Maison des Océans”, 195 rue Saint-Jacques, 75005, Paris, France.

Registration

Online registration is now open until 30 May through the following link: https://ga-isc.com/

Through the registration form you will be able to register to the different events of the GA days, request a visa invitation letter and book your accommodation in Paris. All persons wishing to participate in the General Assembly (regardless of whether they need a hotel room or not) must register online in order to be included in the List of Participants. Please note that participants sponsored by ICSU or ISSC should not book their accommodation online but contact Maureen Brennan ([email protected]) or Anda Popovici ([email protected]).
